I have bright and colorful colors: multi-coloured gird glass; dazzling bright orange roof; copper-green body... All these make me stand out among the residential buildings! Of course , in addition to being beautiful, I am also very practical. Others say that I look like an inverted "L". This design was a carefully considered decision. The protruding part is 12 meters above the ground, forming a overhang for people to shelter from the rain. And people who are above can enjoy the beautiful scenery of London in my head.
Well, my appearance is still discussed by people as to whether I can deserve so many awards (such as the Stirling prize).
But I think I deserve the Civic Trust award! At that time, Peckham was one of the poorest areas, and educational resources were very scarce. But my arrival provides the this community with more learning space and sources, making their lives more convenient and better. At the same time, the awards and the designers have brought me certain benefit, making people more aware of me and willing to go to Peckham to visit me. I'm honored to be liked and proud by them!
